Thomas

September 10, 2009

Looking back on my notes, I think Thomas benefited from an early mover advantage because I honestly cannot remember meeting him though his card indicates that I did.

Sheldon

September 9, 2009

What can I say about Sheldon? Nothing, actually. He left me no message. Sheldon shared only his slightly sweet, slightly goofy name and his phone number. I have to say that his name alone if said with some humor and verve could have tempted me to call to learn more. Chi

What I do know is that what I described as my tastes were anything but normal, I would hope. They were uniquely mine. I wanted to know what was uniquely Chi. And not giving me even a hint meant that, though I appreciate Chi calling and putting himself out there, he did not make the cut for a returned phone call.

Max

September 5, 2009

Much like Jim, I remembered Max’s message for one stand out line in his message. Looking back I see there is much I glossed over but what I do remember really stuck with me and, looking at his card, I am reminded instantly of why I never called back.

Danny

September 4, 2009

Danny was a fellow traveler on the personal ads road. He left me a 900 number to call and the number of his voice mailbox.

His personal stats sounded nice. Tall but not too tall. Not too skinny. Danny shared his eye and hair color which were completely meaningless but perhaps they had become regular recitations or descriptive information he felt that was worth sharing in his ad.
